Israeli Passport Holder Denied boarding Emirates

I planned a three person trip to Spain in order to take care of important business matters.<br> I cleared with the Emirates booking office and the Call Centre (3 times) whether one of our fellow travellers would have a problem if he left South Africa on his South African Passport and entered Spain on his Israeli Passport.<br> On each occasion we were told that there was no problem with this.<br> Two travellers left from Cape Town and the other from Johannesburg.<br> All of us were to meet in transit in Dubai and onward travel to Spain.<br> While the two of us waited in Dubai the third passenger was denied travel due to him being in possession of his Israeli Passport.<br> Regulations were supp**** to the Passenger in Johannesburg that Israeli Passport holders cannot fly on their airline.<br> Despite many attempts to resolve this matter with Emirates, the \Iron Curtain"has come down and it is impossible to get them to take responsibility for this disaster with our trip.<br> No refunds can be obtained and they deny that this regulation exists yet we have a copy of it.<br> I would not have booked on Emirates if I knew this was a problem"
