Emirates:The worst airline in the face of the earth

On August 25 2019 I flew with my baby from Cape Town to Dublin via Dubai. We arrived the following day and were denied boarding as Emirates staff claimed that the Irish immigration had refused us entry. They said as SA nationals we are classified as flight risk as we did not require a visa to enter the country. This upset me gravely as I knew that the staff were lying to me and that they had an agenda. I then argued that I had already ungone screening through Cape Town Emirates staff and they checked all my documents and were satisfied and therefore let us board the flight. I also informed them I had already consulted the Irish Consulate in Cape Town and I was informed that no letter can be issued to me as we did not require a visa. The Embassy then communicated all the necessary documentation I would need to produce before the airline may let me board the flight. That's why I did not understand why I was stopped in transit and told that the very same consulate that had given me the green light was now saying I cannot board my connecting flight. Emirates Agents were rude, impatient and downright ******. I was told that I'm being sent back home and I refused. They then ordered me to board the next flight or they would have to throw me and my baby into that flight forcefully. They also informed me that I am forfeiting my ticket meaning I won't be getting any refund. While I was there I asked for my bags. I told the agent that I needed my baby's nappies and the agent said 'go and buy them at the pharmacy'. I then said I need his clothes and she said 'there's an H&M, go and buy'. I also said ' I need his inhalers just incase his chest starts acting up', her response was 'do you have any other request?'. So I had to buy nappies and and resorted to washing his dirty others at the rest rooms . I then decided to give in to them ordering me to go back home as I had exhausted all avenues. I told them that I wanna speak to the SA consulate and they laughed and said to one another 'Let her phone the Consulate 10x if she needs cause it's useless. I spoke to Nontle and she did not disappoint, she was as useless as they come which frustrated me even further. She just shouldn't be holding that office in my view. I then took the flight to Johannesburg on August 27 and arrived the next morning. My bags were missing so I made my way to the baggage claim desk and a Bidair Agent advised that my bags were not loaded. An Emirates agent called me today and advised that my bags had arrived. 2 of my 3 bags are ruined. One is cracked and the other one's handle is unhinged. I had my baby with me so one of the airport staff helped me load the bags onto the trolley and the car I was travelling in. I only noticed the damages when I got to the BnB. I then called Emirates to make them aware of the state of my bags. Their agent advised that nothing can be done as I have already left the airport.
