Emirates has confirmed a refund for them cancelling our flight and now refuse to refund us.

Emirates cancelled our flight and could only accommodate us a week later. They also did not communicate our cancelled flight with us until we phoned them. They confirmed that should we book with another airline we would get a refund. Now that we are back home they are denying our request and not responding to mails. This is extremely frustrating and disappointing and not according to principles that one would expect from an airline of their standard. We are taking this further on every available platform until they refund us as promised.
