Emirates find lost bag and lose it again!

My girlfriend returned home from a research trip to Ireland via Dubai with Emirates. Her bag was missing on arrival. A lost baggage report was submitted. The next day Tsidi from the Emirates desk contacted us to advise that they had found the bag and that it would be in the next flight to us in Port Elizabeth. We drove to the airport - no bag. After 24h of fighting with them the bag is still unaccounted for. Presumably in the cargo area, but no one is willing to check and provide feedback. Disgusting.
