Emirates deduct double payment for flights but no flight booking!?

Having had a great experience five years ago with Emirates I went straight to them to book my flights to London later this month. Shockingly, this is what happened: I booked my flight to London via Dubai and made payment with the Emirates payment service provider Ozow. Emirates DOUBLE charged me (yes, two payments were deducted for the same flight). I contacted their Live Chat help service and was reassured one payment would be refunded. When following up online I saw not only have I been charged for two flights, there are no flight bookings on my profile. I am told both flights were cancelled as they missed the ticketing deadline!? So I have no flight and am now down R17 162.34 and have to book another flight. Despite having proof of the deductions, I am told I must wait 7 working days while their team reviews the matter!? Best to avoid Emirates Airline until they get back to their previous efficiency.
