Emirates airline via Dubai

We travelled on this airline in 2017 to the Maldives via Dubai from SA and have been meaning to relate our bad experience especially every time we see their television advert ! Firstly they promised a free visa if we stay over in Dubai only to be told the day before , that they could not grant it ! No reason given except that there was a mixup ! So be aware of their incompetence Secondly the meals offered on flight are just for show because when you request , then one or the other meal is usually unavailable !So much for their gourmet menu Thirdly they make a fuss of first class passengers herding them to one side and approached us more than once to see if we were not in the wrong queue , standing in the first class queue by mistake !! Their policy is demeaning and downright rude The customs staff at Dubai international airport can barely make eye contact let alone greet , so entering the country is really a hostile experience It amazes me from my experience how they can have such a brilliant , inviting advert to the airline and country when they are downright unfriendly Sometimes saving a buck on flights does not mean a good start to your holiday !!
