Emirates

There is no reward for gold sky rewards members when you try and utilize your sky rewards. When trying to use my rewards before they expired from upgrades ,to booking domestic flights, to shopping at emerits high street and even as a last resorts trying to book soccer tickets none of the above was possible. When I requested Emitates for an extension they want to charge a fee of 20 dollars per 1000 miles this total a cost is greater then the actual value of the miles . I feel that Emirates should allow members to retain the miles especially the gold members at no cost seeing that it is impossible to use the miles. Where do we benifit from these miles?
