Baggage broken into and case just dismissed by appalling Emirates

During a trip to Europe last year with Emirates, travelling with my wife and 3-year-old daughter, as well as my mother-in-law, our 4 suitcases were broken into under the Emirates watch. These were wrapped and locked, yet our valuables were ****** from therein and our suitcases destroyed. We followed all protocol in reporting this immediately and a case was opened and all evidence provided. Correspondence then ensued via e-mail with customer care. This was dragged on by requests to re-send slips and proof, making the process really cumbersome and distrustful. The personnel were rude and condescending, and then suddenly the case was closed, even after we were offered a measly sum to settle it that we disputed, but even this was never addressed. I then resorted to use the Emirates online complaint facility, and re-sent the complaint a number of times, only for it to be totally ignored. Eventually we even reached out to Emirates marketing personnel who display their profiles online, but even they just palmed our complaints off. I have come to realise that Emirates as a company has developed a very ugly nature believing that they possess a superiority that allows them to dismiss real issues, and I say this as this is how we have even experienced flights and their personnel in the air as well as on the ground in our last few trips with them. My entire family are Skywards members, but we are now preferring to use alternative airlines for our travels. We are utterly appalled at the unprofessional manner in which we have been treated and dismissed. After months and months of trying to attain some due consideration in this regard, compounded by flight delays experienced and terrible treatment and disregard by staff that I would have just simply attributed to isolated cases of Emirates dropping the ball, I have resorted to publishing this as I feel it is important to make it known that from our perspectives this airline is not what it professes to be, and seeks patronage yet steps on loyalty at whim without any consideration. The Emirates slogan, "Fly Better" has left a bitter taste in our mouths and now says to us to find another carrier to do just that with and fly better.
