Appalling Response from Emirates "Media Team"

I enquired from Emirates support how a gluten and lactose free meal could be booked due to health reasons? The response I received from Emirates Media Team (person by the name of Wael) was that I either order a gluten free of lactose free meal, or I carry my "own meal". I cannot believe this response from a so called world leading airline whose marketing line is "Fly better". I'm not sure how Emirates expects me to carry my own meal (despite me having paid for it as part of my ticket), for a long haul flights, and generally multiple flights which is about 22 hours? Will Do they think that my "own food" will still be safe to consume?

On another recent flight on Emirates, I had lots of water that fell on me from the overhead compartment - literally drenched my clothes. Using Wael's response, does this mean that I have to carry my own umbrella to prevent this?
