All of my jewellery ****** out of locked bag

I'm so upset that ALL of my jewellery was ****** out of my locked luggage. Customer service just said that it should not have been there in the first place and they can't help me. I think that it would be safer than in the carry on, it's also just not practical. I only take a handbag. I couldn't believe that was the answer.
