15 Hour Layover in Dubai and wife not allowed

My wife and I travel on Emirates airlines regularly. I am a Silver Skywards member. Next Thursday we are flying with Emirates to Amsterdam. The only flight we could get has a scheduled layover of 15 hours. Due to my Skywards status I am able to access the Skywards Lounge on Dubai Airport and will at least be able to rest. My wife however, will not be allowed access into the lounge even though she is travelling with me. Most reward programs would allow you to arrange lounge access for your spouse if they were travelling with you. I feel that especially since we have such a long layover in Dubai and especially because we support Emirates, they could at least have allowed my wife access into the lounge.
