The worst municipality!

Please assist on the below. I am owing rates to Emfuleni Local Municipality and it resulted to my electricity being cut off without any communication (mind you - I use prepaid electricity). I went to their offices to enquire and fix this matter - then was told that I need to pay 30% and make arrangements for the balance before the power being put back on. I paid R6140(30% required) but was then told that I buy minimum electricity and was accused of tempering with the electricity box. I asked them to come and investigate - upon arrival, nothing faulty was found but they still refused to switch me back on.

The following day, I went back to their offices to find solutions but I was taken from pillar to post. When they finally attended to me, I was told that there was a new law from Eskom Hld SOC Ltd that one must buy minimum electricity of 800khw (that is over R2000). I explained my dynamics of living alone, being hardly at home and using a gas stove but that made no sense to them.

I was given a solution of a journal were they calculated the difference between the electricity I bought to the 800khw(minimum requirement) for the past three years which was added to my bill. I moved from owing them around R14 000 to over R80 000.

This doesnt make sense, I need help please Panyaza Lesufi, Panyaza Lesufi.
