Forced move of breadwinner
My sister who lives in Vanderbijlpark has an arrears municipal bill but the only person who can provide food are now forced to move out of his parents house cause Emfuleni Local Municipality refuse to make a payment ruling. Emfuleni Local Municipality recon they can survive on SASSA income. Three of the family are on cronic meds which is being paid by Sassa income and the only other family member who can supply food to a family of 6 adults and a toddler of 3 is now being forced to move out of his parents house. Emfuleni Local Municipality demands full payment of the arrears if the son his wife and kid stay on or a payment of R10 000 before they will discuss a payment ruling. The son earns R8 000 per month. How in God's name can they demand R10 000 from his salary just because they can. Emfuleni Local Municipality is breaking up a family and forcing the breadwinner to abandon his parents before they will even listen to my suster. If her son does not move Emfuleni Local Municipality will cut their power and that with a toddler in house. Is there any person who can advice me on how to orevent this please. Kindest Erika
