A BUNCH OF ****MERS WATCH OUT!!!!

waste of time and money. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! DO NOT GO WITH THIS DRIVING SCHOOL! AND HERE IS WHY!

on the 22nd February I paid R280 for a single 1 hour lesson to test the driving school out. My first lesson with him was scheduled for the 25 February, the day of the lesson he messaged me asking if we could move the lesson for the 26 February as he wasn’t feeling well. 26 February, I confirmed with Johann if our lesson was up for the day and he said yes. a few hours before the lesson he messaged me and asked if we can move it AGAIN, for the next day as his wife had some traumatic experience with an anxious student.

27th February Johann picked me up from work in Driehoek, drove me all the way to Primrose where I live (13 min drive). once in primrose he just parked and sat there giving me a whole motivational speech and gave me reasons as to why I should go with his driving school and went on about how he won’t mess me around knowing I was messed around in the past by various other driving schools. (My mother in law was his previous client, referred him to me and told him about how I was taken for a ride before and to help me) after that whole 45 minute speech, he drove me home and no driving lesson was done whatsoever. He deducted 15 minutes from our lesson for travelling to Primrose. No proper lesson took place. I shook it off and thought okay I think the motivational speech he gave me was needed and maybe I should reflect on it as I am a very anxious person on the road.

a week later, proceeding with a driving package story escalated. I paid for the 10 hour package for R2700 on the 28th February. I planned with Johann that I do 5 lessons for 2 hours each instead of 10 lessons 1 hour each. Working from 7:30 to 16:30, Monday to Friday as an admin manager, I chatted with my boss to make arrangements to leave work 2 hours earlier so I would be able to do my lessons with Johann. I was allowed to do so 2 times a week and the third lesson was planned on a Saturday. I had 2 weeks to schedule work around my lessons this way and get it done. All I asked and could do was 3 lessons a week, so within 2 weeks my 5 lessons would be done. It took A WHOLE MONTH to ONLY get 3 lessons completed, NOT 2 WEEKS.

8th of March was supposed to be my first lesson, Johann dropped me a message an hour before the lesson stating someone tried to break in his workshop and tried to ***** his cars (this was on Saturday) I said to him I understand things happen but this was his 3rd cancellation on me in total and if he can’t help me to refund me. He said he can’t refund me because he “really wants to help me” so I gave him a second chance.

From there I spoke to my boss to make arrangements that I can do lessons twice during the week for the 2 weeks. Had my first package lesson Johann on the 18th of March, Johann picked me up and drove the long way around to boksburg to the parking grounds, deducted 30 mins off my 2 hours. There’s literally a nearby parking ground 6 mins from my house but he chose to go to one further away 25 mins away from my house. The remaining 28 mins of that hour was him explaining parking. The remaining 45 mins I did my parking lessons for my three point turn and already 10 mins before the lesson ended he asked if my boyfriend could pick me up as he had other things to do. paid 2 hours only done 45 mins.

19th March was supposed to be our second lesson, Johan dropped me a message and asked if we could cancel because he had to visit a “friend in hospital”… so the lesson moved for the 20th March and it was done. My boyfriend dropped me off so no time was deducted from my lesson, I asked Johann kindly to drop me off at home as my boyfriend works after hours. Johann said sorry no he cannot do so and has to go shopping. I pay for the lesson and fuel and he cannot drop his students off? 99% of the time my boyfriend had to pick me up and drop me off all the way in boksburg because Johann always had some excuse as to why he couldn’t.

My third lesson was supposed to take place on 22nd March, the last straw is when he asked me if we could move it for the next day (23rd March) and from there I called it quits. My father got hold of him, requested a refund and gave him until early May (2 months) to refund us. he owes me R1620 to this day!!!

This driving school is a bunch of ****s and ****mers and will do anything to take your money in desperation. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AND IF YOU GO WITH THEM DO NOT PAY FOR PACKAGES.

they don’t care if you have been taken for a ride before or not, they will still find a way to take you for a ride. I will be sure to caution others to go for someone else and not this lot!
