EmergencyLocksmith247
I called EmergencyLocksmith247 guys because my daughter lost the keys to my front burglar door. They were so efficient in that they were very quick to answer the phone (Which was a plus for me,an indication of good service), and the frond line person I spoke to had fairly good communications skill (brilliant service in short).
I presented my case as indicated above. They immediately send a a Whattup message equivalent to a mini contract which states the following below:
*LOCKSMITH ASSISTANCE MOBILE UNITS RUNNING
*FOR ANY ASSISTANCE FROM LOCKSMITHS THERE IS NO CALL OUT FEE IF QUOTE IS ACCEPTED.IF QUOTE IS NOT ACCEPTED THERE IS A R199 CALL OUT FEE.ALL COST'S CAN BE DETERMINED BY THE LOCKSMITH ON SITE DEPENDING ON WORK DONE AND PARTS BEING USED.#After any job a payment needs to been done immediately with proof of payment.# (EFT, E WALLET, CASH SENDING OR CASH PAYMENTS IS ACCEPTED.
*BY UNDERSTANDING THE ABOVE PLEASE REPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING:
1.name and surname 2.cell number/alternative 3.full address or a location of where the emergency is needed 4.if needed a description of building or car
I comp**** and send the information as requested. Within 10 minutes, the technician arrived and went straight to the door. I was a bit confused about the speed at which things are done, only to realise later that the speed is related to stopping you from inquiring about the costs. In less than 7 minutes, the job was done and was preparing an invoice. Guess how much the work was? R2990 on the following items 1. Opening fee/labour/Lock installation 2. 1x BBL Profile Cylinder 3x keys He basically drilled out the old cylinder and put in a new one and gave me 3 new keys, he then threw me with R2990 bill, which has to be settled there and then in his presence. Yes I settled the bill and he waited for proof of payment, then he left.
My analysis about EmergencyLocksmith247
Guys, you have to look out for these guys. They use good services techniques (sound very reasonable on the phone) to lure you into responding to their Whattup message without indicating how much they might charge. By responding to the Whattup message, it constitutes an obligation from your side to pay for the work done, and they know that they charge exhobitant rates that if disclosed to the client, no one is ready to pay.In short, this is a **** in the form of forcing clients to pay way more that normal rates.
My advice will be the following if you really want to use their services: 1. Whenever a technician arrives at your house, after he/she assesses the work, ask the costs before they start working. That’s what they are trying to avoid whenever they arrive at your house, please insist on that to avoid surprises from greedy service providers who prey on non-disclosure.
For Clarity, the first two quotations that I got from other service providers before I engagedEmergencyLocksmith247 were less than a R1000 each, then I automatically thought that the price range is within a thousand or slightly more.
