Worst stay ever!!!
My daughter turned 9 on the 9th of Jan 2018 and she wanted to go to emerald for her birthday with her cousins. On arrival the service at reception was so poor and slow, the breakage deposit was a surprise because we were not informed about it beforehand. The River Resort was filthy from the floors to the shower and toilets. The most disappointing thing about the Emerald Resort is that it was not disability friendly at all from the resort, aquadome, putt putt nothing is disability friendly.
As a guest of the river lodge, you are entitled to free access to some of the facilities. One of these is the putt putt mini golf course. However one of the staff members still tried to solicit a entrance fee from us even though we had valid arm bands for that particular day.
We will not be staying at the resort again and furthermore, will not recommend it to anyone.
Please accept our apologies for your recent experience at our Resort. Breakage Deposits are quite standard across many resorts, hotels and self-catering accommodation facilities, however this is refunded in full should there be no breakages. In terms of our disability offerings we do have a lift in the Aquadome to accommodate guests who may find stairs difficult or not possible. Around the resort the entertainment area walkways which includes access to the restaurants and outdoor leisure outlets are all wheelchair-friendly, as is Animal World and the casino.
We do apologise for the state of your chalet and we will take this up with our relevant teams, as well as our teams at Putt Putt to ensure they fully understand the validity of certain armband access. We do hope that you’ll visit us again and have a much more enjoyable experience.
