Security park wherever they want to
We took our 80 old grandmother with us to the Aquadome, she is in a wheelchair. The lifts in the Aquadome don't work which meant that she had to battle to climb all those stairs.
And then to make matters worse, when we were on our way back to the car, the security company (SSG Security) that works there was parked in the middle of the pathway that is meant for the wheelchair. When we confronted the driver as to why he parks in a non parking and as to why he parked in the middle of the way, he simply answers with "I was looking for the shade"
He didn't apologize for the inconvenience or anything.
And what's even more ridiculous is that the Emerald Resort doesn't even have a wheelchair ramp in the parking lot. Which means that we had to walk all the way around the parking area just to make our way down to the Aquadome.
Please accept our apologies for your recent experience at our Resort. The broken lift was unfortunately beyond our control at the time, we did contact our service provider a few times but due to the December and January festive season this could only be repaired now in early January. In terms of the security vehicle, he was in fact parked in a demarcated Emerald parking area - the red lines on the ground indicate parking for Emerald vehicles, however we understand that we was partially blocking the Paraplegic parking, an issue we have resolved with the guard internally.
