No notification of insufficient rooms
I had booked a double room on 10th February 2018, via Booking.com. There was availability online and my booking was reserved and confirmed.
Upon arrival at the Hotel at 13:45 (check-in 14:00), I was told at the front desk that my booking was placed on hold because there is no rooms available. After some discussion, I was then told that there are no rooms available and that I should cancel my online booking.
Subsequently, I had to make alternate arrangements and had to stay at Riverside Hotel (luckily they had space). Surely, the Hotel and it's management, could and should have notified me in advance that I was placed on a waiting list and they had no rooms available instead of waiting for me to pitch up and then break the bad news. I find this level of service extremely poor.
