Emerald accomadation is filthy, cleanliness and hygiene are non existent.

I am currently staying at the River chalets with my kids, celebrating my daughter's 2nd birthday today. The last time we were here was just before Covid and the chalets were not so bad. Now, I am astounded, these chalets are filthy, the floor seems like theres 10 layers of filth, not cleaned in years. The TV was broken. There was a foul smell in the unit, rust on the front doors, walls chipped, couch leather worn out/torn. All the dishes were dirty except for the top one. I had to wash everything before using it. I also used to sanitizer to wipe down the kitchen only to find the cloth was black with dirt. There wasnt a knife, colander, scourer to wash dishes. Chair in the lounge is broken and dirty, there wasn't a coffee table, we had to ask for one to at least put the birthday cake on. The tub is so worn out, no shower but they could put up those telephone showers with a shower curtain so one would at least have the option. The toilet was not cleaned properly, dirt under the seat. The price of accommodation has increased yet the standards have decreased. I am paying for accommodation only to come here and clean up after previous guests. The bed looked like someone had slept in it. The only staff that I have seen wear masks were the ladies at the bowling alley, the Lady at Wimpy and the lady at the entrance of the Aquadome. We are now in out 5th wave, non of the guests Ive seen have worn masks and non of the Emerald staff ask them to wear masks, especially in the games rooms where there are kids everywhere. My family and I were the only ones wearing masks in most of the areas we've been to. I feel like we have wasted so much of money coming here, I will never again, I would rather take my kids to Sun city even though it's further away. Overall, the cleanliness of this chalet was the deciding factor to post this complaint. How filthy are the staff members to leave the units in this state for new guests?
