The worst Accomodation and Customer Service on the South Coast

Booked at Emerald Cove for my Birthday last October. Was so looking forward to Celebrating with my Friends. It rained and we had water leaks through the thatch roof in 3 different spots upstairs and 1 spots in the lounge area just below the stairs so this was unsafe and we placed paper on the floor. The kitchen roof also leaked to the point that water dripped into our food which we threw away. Kitchen cupboards were all old and stuck so they did not open easily. They smelled musky and was told it was due to lockdown and that people that stayed before us didnt have any complaints. There were cobwebs in teh loft bedroom and the bathroom had open plan so now door, just a toilet in the edge of the room with a shower that was filthy and cobwebs hanging so 6 of us ladies used the bathroom downstairs...Rail on the balcony was loose and i brought it to the attention of the lady in charge. there was no signage so when the door locked you were stuck outside on the balcony. Lighting outside the front door did not work. Bedroom lamp flickered. Blankets in all the rooms were old, dusty and smelled musky so thankfully we had carried our own bedsheet and bankets so we survived. The sofa in the lounge was broken and sunk in as one sat. When I complained via whatsapp I was told to send an email which I sent 2 seperate ones listing all my complaints. The lady in charge was kind enough to arrange another 2 sleeper room as we could not sleep in the loft with the continuous dripping of water all night. So this is the reason I give the one star. In response to my emails the owner advised that she would refund us one nights accomodation as she would not want us at her premises again. This is the pathetic response I received. Not like I would ever book at that place again and would warn others of how unhygenic and unsafe this accomodation really was. The attitude of the owner was absolutely disgusting and was the worst I have ever experienced. Certainly will not recommend this place to anyone and its definitely not value for money as there are many other resorts in the area that are far cheaper and offer alot more.
