****mers

I'm so disappointed with this school.. Firstly the contract I've signed states that if a student cancel a subject, they only liable to pay full amount until the month of the cancelation. Now they are forcing me to pay for subjects that are cancelled and threaten to block the student portal.. What I've noticed is the school is only about running a business but not prioritizing the student's academics.. We are in August and final exams are in November but already they've pushed me to pay the whole tuition fee in full.. This is ridiculous. I won't advise anyone to register with them

Dear Khuthele. Thank you for your review and raising this concern. It truly does need clarification, since being in private education is always a difficult balance between business and academics. We can certainly sympathize with your frustration, and I think you are partly right Elroi Academy is a business and that fact does mean that sometime when students do deregister or drop subjects late in the year they loose out - which is why we always recommed student not to deregister completely but  rather continue with their program the next year - in which case the only extra costs is a reasonable extra admin fee and the exam fee that has already been paid to SACAI which will be due again the next year. That also ensures that you can continue to work on the purpose for which they registered in the first place.

Kindly do take note of your contract though, because we are very clear that in Matric, by the end of July the full amount for the year is due. That is because of your point: we are a business so we have to ensure we have all out operational costs covered for the whole year even if students withdraw. That does not mean we do not care about your education - if we have failed to show to you that your education is important to us then we truly do deserve this 1 star review!
