Elroi Academy Student Review

My 16 year old son has been using Elroi Academy for the past year to complete his Grade 10. Apart from being affordable they are also extremly reliable and supportive. Elroi Academy offers a CAPS based curriculum, exams and control tests are completed online, but if like me, you prefer text book learning, you are advised what text book the teachers prefer and they are easy enough to come by. At the beginning of the year you are provided with a full schedule of every test/exam/oral/practical date submission. Weekly each of your teachers will send you an encouraging message wishing you luck for the week and reminding you again, what is actually required of you for the week, and reminding you that they are only ever one quick message or call away. Teachers are quick to offer assistance either in group format or privately if you so wish. There is a super handy Q&A section where students and teachers alike can offer assistance to others. You never feel like you have to struggle on your own. At the start of Grade 10 my son was worried about the change of curriculum, but has simply thrived and "developed" so much as a person this year, the confidence he has gained by being able to take control of his own academic year has been enormous. Elroi Academy has offered so much more than just an academic education this year. It has offered a safe space for a young person to spread their wings and grow - while learning. We are both looking forward to Grade 11.
