You did not insure with us so it is your problem

I have used Elliott's 5 times in the past for both local and international moves. I even stored a portion of my household goods with them for over 2 years. Recently I moved to Cape Town and was absolutely appalled. I have had furniture damaged in excess og R50k and the fittings reequired to assemble 2 of the beds have not arrived. The only feedback from Elliotts was that we did not insure with them so sort it out. There were many stories of the truck having been in an accident which was confirmed by an employee but when we approached the management we were told our goods were not on the truck. I cannot explain how an expensive drinks cabinet can have it leg ********** when it was in storage for 2 plus years or the the bed has been cracked or that the fridge has a major dent in the door, let alone the missing parts! I am absolutely disgusted with the service from a company we have used so often. Guess my next move will not be with them.
