Terrible service, terrible moving experience!

After my Dad passed away very suddenly, we used Elliott Mobility to move my elderly mom from her home in Jhb to a retirement village in Knysna. It was a nightmare move. So many of my mom's possessions and sentimental reminders of my Dad arrived broken or didn't arrive at all. Not one but THREE tables which were "expertly wrapped by Elliotts" arrived with legs broken off. A fan was totally destroyed, her computer monitor disappeared, never to be seen again. Boxes clearly marked "Fragile, Glass!" arrived split and broken open with heavy boxes marked "Books" piled on top of them. So much glassware was broken, ornaments, plates, dishes.. my Dad's prized toolbox arrived completely empty. Boxes were plundered & items ******. Her huge oak wall unit arrived with a broken and splintered base, looking as though it had been dragged over concrete. When we tried to speak to Elliotts, they just didn't seem to give a damn until a friend who works in broadcasting got in touch with them... which got more attention than we had. Elliotts CEO got in touch suddenly, apologised for "getting it very wrong this time" and offered to pay my Mom an amount which came nowhere close to covering the cost of replacing or fixing half of the items which had been broken and ******. I will NEVER recommend Elliotts. They are Amazing-ly bad.
