Non-Disclosure and Ridiculous

I’m December 2020 we contracted Elliott to assist with our relocation to Cape Town. The move itself went well although we had some brandy ******, electronic cables and watch and a feather duvet damaged. But insured so all ok.

On the 6th Jan our items arrive and as organised some items would be going to storage. company was paying for 3 months. On the day I confirmed with the supervisor in charge, Mandi, what would happen if we needed to come get items out of storage. I was told call a day ahead so that the items could be made available for us, and we could collect what we needed.

At end of Jan we get a mail from Elliott stating that actually they hadn’t costed in the 3 months storage for the company to pay, so we would now need to pay. Albeit frustrated we agreed to pay and hubby would go through the process of claiming back.

Today I contact Elliot and speak to Valerie to make arrangements to come get some items to be told that there is a R1500.00 handling charge anytime we want to come get items out. This was never disclosed and when I had chatted to supervisor in JHB and Mandi in Cape Town, I was told come anytime just give a days notice.

I feel Elliott extremely disgruntled as if I had known this previously we would have put our items into a storage unit where we have full access at anytime.

Would appreciate a response to this matter and would like to chat to someone to make alternate arrangements and not be held to a ransom of R1500 every time I need something.

Disgusted.
