Avoid Elliot sales pitch
Disappointed with unforeseen costs - 15% over and above original quote for exchange rate adjustment, "port charges" and "change in terminal" costs because the ship arrived in a different location in the port. Elliott passes every cost onto the customer essentially making the contract a "cost plus" contract. The sales pitch also indicated that a comprehensive and detailed inventory would be provided. This was far from the case in reality.

Thank you for your post on Hellopeter and I am sorry and disappointed that you feel we have let you down. We try to be as transparent as possible with our customers. Unfortunately however, exchange rate fluctuations and shipping costs raised by the shipping line are changing daily and it is simply impossible for us to lock these cost down.
Whilst we do provide a detailed and comprehensive inventory of every item included in your shipment, it is impossible for Elliott to list each an every single item packed inside a box for example. A general description (e.g. kitchenware, books, etc.) will be used to describe the contents of boxes packed by Elliott.
I would like to thank you for having used the services of Elliott and to wish you much joy, happiness and success in the future.
