Warranty refusal.

I bought two fridge surge protectors at Ellies electronics store in Johannesburg, during the month of April 2022. It carried a tag of two year warranty and one year warranty in fine print. On the 22 November 2022, there was no load shedding where I'm staying, on the day, and both fridge safe surge protectors just went off. They were both plugged in on both my fridges. I took the devices to Ellies Johannesburg and a certain Mr Rudy Pillay did not entertain my request for a warranty. He just said the devices have served their purpose and I must buy another one. He said he would never take them in for testing, repairs or even exchange them for new ones. I still have my receipts and both my devices with me. I'm very disappointed.
