Sub standard Elsat S1 openviewhd decoder
I have tested the Elsat openviewhd stb and the Altech openview stb via samsung led,via hdmi cable at the same time on the is20 satelite and have found the results(difference between the two stb)absolutely shocking.The elsat stb has poor picture quality(lots of digital noise)and the sound is terrible.On the other hand i,ve found the Altech ovhd stb to have excellent picture quality(no digital noise)and incredible sound up to ten times better compared to the Elsat openviewhd stb.I paid R1070 (decoder only)a year ago for the Elsat S1 ovhd stb and now the Altech ovhd stb is R399 from game and is vastly superior in every way compared to the elsat stb.I feel as if i have been ******.Why did elsat produce and supply us an extremely poor quality product at a high price.Were proper tests not done to ensure the competancy of the product.The ellies openview stb is of substandard quality and is absolutely unacceptable.Ellies reputation is at stake.

For our technical team to meet with you at your place of residence with an Altech OVHD unit and further suggested if this was an inconvenience to you, you were most welcomed to bring in your unit for testing to compare findings.
After our absolute commitment in trying to assist through various offers, you have refused our support in resolving your problem.
What concerns us is the fact that you have continued to use open forum platforms (which we as a company support, as it offers consumers a voice) to infer that Ellies has reneged on its responsibility in satisfying our customers. Ellies prides itself on customer service. If there is still an opportunity to meet your requirements we will certainly welcome that.
