no fta channels on elsat ovhd stb compared to alte

I,ve had a look at some posts on social media as well as the previous report on hellopeter stating that wit the altech uec ovhd stb u can add free to air services on ses 5 wheras with the elsat ovhd stb u cannot as it,s transponder locked and therefor encripted.I hav both stbs and decided to test this and this is indeed true with the altech u can add fta channels such as rt news,dw news,cctv,france24,nhk world news and is24 news on ses5 via fta frequencies where u can find on lyungsat ses5.Why did elsat decide to encript there stb from reveiving more channels.Once again elsat has shot itself in the foot.Why did they bend over backwards for ovhd and encript da elsat stb or did they make this decision themselves.This is completely unacceptable.Why is the elsat transponder locked wheras the altech is not.I love news and the altech allows me to add fta news but elsat denies us this.Elsat has a lot to answer for.<br>
