Ellies multi plugs

Recently an Ellies multi plug exploded in my home nearly causing a fire. Photos were sent to them and questioned as to how it could happen. Apart from an acknowledgement of my email they have refused to reply to further emails requesting an explanation. What are they hiding. Are their multi plugs adaptors a potential fire hazard. If so they should be immediately withdrawn from the market until the problem is resolved. Beware if using their equipment. I wonder if it complies with regulations.
