Arrogant Joe ... thinks he knows it all

After purchasing an HD single-view decoder and Ellies Elsat portable satellite dish from Makro on 23 March, I was very disappointed to find myself looking at 'No signal' error; and that after 45min of fiddling, without much help from a sketchy 'instruction manual'. A call to Multichoice got us no further. Ellies only insisted I bring the dish to them, so that was a further 15km and 30min out of my day.<br> <br> 'Joe' at Ellies quickly says \it won't work with an HD decoder\". Oh, so where on the box does it say that, I asked? ... Joe (arrogantly) thinks that's very obvious to anyone and so provokes an argument. And it won't work in a built-up area like Sea Point, where we had been struggling to get it working, he added. Neither of these bit of information will you find on the box or in the manual ... clearly an attempt to avoid responsibility for faulty products and bad service
