Ellerines Please assist?
I bought a Sharka 2 Piece Lounge suite from Furniture City Cape Gate branch in Cape Town less than a year ago. I have been desperately trying to get hold of Furniture City for the past 2 weeks now but any contact no. I try no longer exists and the shops have closed down. The Bed shop next door to Furniture City Cape Gate said that Furniture city has liquidated. So much for the extended warranty...<br> <br> The couch is falling apart at the seems and there are metal protrusions sticking out from the base that are damaging the cushions.<br> <br> If anyone knows how I would be able to make contact with Furniture City so that I can get this couch repaired I will be extremely grateful.<br> <br> I have tried making contact with the holding company Ellerines but again every no. I dial just rings or doesn't exist. I have emailed them and posted a complaint on their website and no one has made contact with me.<br>
Kindly be advised that Ellerine Furnishers (Pty) Ltd (with trading brands Ellerines, Furniture City, Geen & Richards, Wetherlys, Dial-a-Bed and Beares) has effective 08 August 2014 been placed into Business Rescue. The Head Office and all stores have since closed down. In light of the above Ellerine Furnishers (Pty) Ltd will no longer be able to entertain any customer complaints. Please note the following:
o All credit related matters are to be referred to the Credit Provider, African Bank's customer care centre: *** / ***
o Complaints relevant to goods that still falls within the particular supplier's warranty kindly contact African Bank on *** / *** to obtain the necessary proof of purchase where after the complainant will have to liaise with the supplier/ manufacturer directly.
o Complaints relevant to Laybys to be referred to Karen Henn ***
o Extended warranty complaints can unfortunately no longer be entertained.
