Disappointing

I bought two pairs of shoes on the "mother's day sale". I've never bought shoes online and because if the looming deadline acted more hastily than normal. After some research I found these reviews and emailed the company within 5 days of making payment requesting a cancellation. Their response was that the shoes had already been shipped. Unlikely. Follow up emails were ignored and delivery was made this week. The shoes are not leather. Nor are they orthopaedic- which was the big appeal for me. If I had wanted cheap knock offs, I'd have gone to China mart. How is it possible this business is allowed to continue?? Oh, and the sale continues as a "clearance sale" now.
