Ripping customerws off

On Saturday we called the Control Room to request a price for a taxi from Mowbray to Grand West. We did this because we have been ********** by the drivers before. They quoted a fee of R200. We then went to the street where the taxis are parked in Mowbray and asked the driver the same thing. He called into the Control Room and was quoted R250. We questioned it but let it go. Yesterday we called the Control Room and asked the same thing. A different controller quoted a fee of R150. We booked a taxi based on that and when the driver arrived, we asked what it would cost and mentioned the quoted amount. He said it would be less than that and he put his meter on. The trip came to R110. I seriously think the owner of this company should get involved before his reputation slips any further. What a ripoff! And what a pleasure dealing with an honest driver for a change.
