Elite, not quite yet.

I have contemplated writing this review for a while. Am I at fault? Partly. I guess that's where we find ourselves currently after finishing up the AFT course middle 2019. My goal with this is not to bash Elite Inc.; neither do I want to come over bitter or harsh. I think my goal is to be as honest as possible. I was a fan, indeed! Even featured on a Student success hour (a weekly motivational segment online). Therefore, this won't be an "all-guns-blazing, off-with-their-heads" type review. I want to keep it as honest and balanced as possible.

Positives – Elite Inc.'s approach to encouraging students to complete the course works well. Usually, the success rate of people completing an online course is meagre. I procrastinate so never finish anything. With the team's help, I did complete the course. So, point there. The team is amiable and helpful, and If I had a question or need help, there was an ear to listen. I did learn net valuable s****s that can be used to marketing your own, or someone else's business. You do have lifetime access to the material and groups for ongoing support.

Improvements to be addressed.

Value for money – This is a tough one, it is a costly course, so when you are looking to buy, sleep on it! Talk to a few people and make sure you know what you are buying and most importantly, WHY! The content is average to good, with value to be found (as mentioned). Still, being only 16 weeks, you are so rushed that you can't implement or get to grips with everything. OVERWHELMING! In the end, you are in such a state of euphoria with completing the run of the course, that you forget reality will now set in and I tell you it hits home hard when things don't go the way you had hoped and dreamed. The assessment is sub-par. This isn't a course where you hope to gain a qualification or solid theoretical knowledge. The learning model is based on 80% practical implementation, which can work well, but not with the time allowed. If you drop the ball or miss a day, then you are behind and inadvertently leave many tasks not completed, or just ignored to you don't fall back. Cost – Overpriced. Sorry guys, please have a look at pricing structures. And avoid the hard sell! Instead, go for lifetime value (as you rightly teach). Make the course longer and work with students individually to ensure that they start and implement run their agencies successfully. If you make it that expensive instead do it over a year and make sure everyone is on board and the same page. Please change up your marketing. The marketing is misleading in the sense that you are lead to believe that when you complete the course, you can quit your job and immediately start a profitable new business. Theoretically, that might be the case, BUT it won't be immediately, and it will take a while to grow to a place where it replaces a salary. Elite's AFT course misses on critical factor when it comes to training. That is the Human nature aspect. Please consider that a struggling parent who lost his or her job and is not able to find is work, IS NOT YOUR CLIENT. A person who has to take out an R100k loan to cover the cost of the course IS NOT YOUR CLIENT. A person who is not at ease with using a computer or the internet also isn't your client. A person who does not like sales or struggles with it will have a tough time getting started in their "new" business. I can go one but, if you are targeting desperate people with a hope to change their situation that most likely will not realise, well that's not ethical. Are there people who are successful, yes, but they are the exception and not the norm. There are so many factors to take into account that one CANNOT honestly predict or guarantee a "laptop" lifestyle or "online success". Yes, I know here the fine print protects them, as always. So please read it.

I can add so much more, and I hope it will help someone in making their choice as there are these days many choices.

I believe Elite can have a good training institute, but drastic changes are needed if people are going to be helped. They also might need to look at some registration in SA.

I, for one, am going to continue and try to make a success of it, and I have to… I need to get back some of the funds invested.

I give Elite Inc. (now with the luxury of hindsight) a two and half out of 5. Not quite three yet.
