uplift prices right before announcing a sale

Shameful business practice: uplift their price right before announcing a sale. When I questioned the company about it they gave a reasoning of exchange rate changes, however the extreme in exchange rate (weakening of the rand against EUR and USD amounts to max 7% in the short term), yet the company app**** a 20% hike in their prices, to then immediately offer their good at a 15% discount across their store. This is deceiving to the customer and should be looked into from a regulatory perspective.

Dear Geert

Thanks for taking the time to raise your concern about our pricing structures.

Please note that our price adjustments up or down are completely independent of sales that we run.

We have received a new shipment this morning and made necessary adjustments.
The price of 3 items went up and 2 other items got reduced. These were the only price adjustments of our 3000+ products. . I can also send you proof of this to verify.

That said, just because the 3 prices went up, it is not possible to exclude them from a site wide sale as a site wide sale means all products.

I have also been in contact with Fatima who as a gesture of goodwill suggested that she will give you the cabinet at the old pricing before you even made this review.

With regards to increases percentages, you can contact any freight company. Freights has increased 800% due to covid.

We always strive to provide fair and competitive pricing.

We trust that you understand and we will also make contact with you via email.
