Terrible service and meals

Haven't been to Centurion Hotel on 1001 Lenchen Avenue since re-opening after flooding, and was accommodated in this hotel on the 28th till 30 November 2023 for business. I had expectations that service would be better since renovations and all, but yeeer! No drinking water provided in the rooms, no mosquito repellents yet my room had mosquitos due to the Lake, no diffuser and the smell is horrible. As for the restaurant, 'the Buffet' is 4chaffing dishes and 2 of each has similar stuff (stirfry and spaghetti)- both horrible!! Although few kitchen staff seemed good but most didn't even know the services offered, and claimed to be new, yet the management told us they 'just' opened in April. 7Months into business but the service is so bad and coupled with justification of just opened'! I thought breakfast would be better but yoooh, I haven't seen such substandard service. Second night dinner is chicken leg quarter (not tasty), paap, chutney and something that looked like stirfry. It is all 😞. 'Fresh' fruit salad was made of fruits that seemed at least a week or more older. Irons drip water I had to go and attend my meetings with damp clothes, after waiting for almost 2hours waiting for the requested iron and ironing board. Though restaurant management promised better service the following day/s but her definition of better service leaves a lot to be desired. Amenities are not sufficient and when requesting you are told to go buy in the vending machine on first floor, like really??? Carpeted hotel rooms and not adequately cleaned, plus in such a damp area when there's Lake water running underneath!! I even wonder how the hotel grading was achieved but the overall experience was terrible! So so so disappointed!
