Dont think that this guy gives great service automatically

<p>Mr John Rhategaan was the subcontractor chosen by our builder Neil Fenwick of Aim Improvements. He came to see us at our home just before we started building. He was very very chatty and stayed for hours which was annoying but we felt that as he was recommended we would overlook the ongoing chatter.</p> <p>He took on the job which consisted of a long motorised gate for the driveway, a motorised pedestrian gate, sliding gates over the lounge doors as well as the room leading out to the pool, 3 security gates, a side alley gate and some burglar bars. He assured us that all of these were galvanised.</p> <p>We started to have problems with the driveway motor and called him back suspecting that the motor was not strong enough. He found it to be faulty and replaced it but it continued to give problems.</p> <p>We told him that as it closes too slowly it is a security risk but he said that there was nothing he could do.</p> <p>As l tried to explain the issue on a few occasions he started to ignore me and furthermore blocked me on whatsapp. </p> <p>After a few month the outside gates started to chip and peel. I called him back but he blamed our dogs. Our dogs are fantastic but they arent magicians and cannot possibly reach the top of 6ft gates.</p> <p>As time passed l noticed that the problem was getting progressively worse. l contacted him again but of course he ignored me taking no ownership at all. l had hoped that our builder would've stepped in as he had contracted him but he didnt. Now 4 years later the builder is saying that the warranty is up. Problem is that he never came when l called him. However a warranty doesn't come into it as l have had someone else to look at the gates who has seen rust as well and also that they were not galvanised. As we paid a huge amount we felt that John Rhategaan should make right but he has yet again ignored all correspondence.</p> <p>I did warn him that if I do not hear from him l would take this to Hellopeter and as he has had ample time to respond it is now time. His after sales service is beyond shocking.</p>
