pathetic customer service,

I bought 5 x outside lights @R300 each. I paid a certified electrician to install them. The lights stopped working in a few days apart. I phoned the salesman from Electra ,took photos and sent to him. He told me that I must bring it in and he would gladly replace them. I paid the electrician to come remove them .When I took them to Electra, the owner refused to replace/refund. He stated that the lights are indoor and not outdoor as water ingresses into the lights. The Salesman however refuted this and confirmed that it is indeed outdoor lights. The owner then stated that the plastic grommets are missing. I then showed him photos of the grommet still attached onto my wall. I showed him evidence of even the thick layer of silicone that was app**** to the wall to prevent water ingression onto the light. He still refused .I left the lights in his shop and told him to sell it again and get rich. I spent approx. R5400 at Electra in purchasing wide range of my electrical needs WHICH i know deeply regret. The same owner told me not to buy from China Mall as their products are not good BUT it now seems that China Mall sells better quality and provides better service and customer satisfaction. I would advise the public not to buy from Electra. I went yesterday to and purchased the lights from Chain Mall, it is much cheaper than Electra and the owner told me that I got 6 months guarantee and he would gladly exchange/replace because I did tell him what happened to the lights I purchased from Electra.
