TICKET NO ACFB8J01: LETTER OF DEMAND

The subject matter bears reference and I wish to advise as follows: -

1. On or during 29 April 2022 I bought a bus ticket from Checkers in Richards Bay.

2. The cost of the ticket for a trip from Vryheid to Richards Bay on the 30th of April 2022 amounted to R425-00.

3. I wish to further advise that the bus never arrived to pick me up at the pickup point in Vryheid (Spar) as was the agreement when purchasing the ticket. Except for one message from yourselves at 14h35 advising about a delay, there were no further communication received from your side.

4. I, therefore, herewith demand from you: - a) Bus ticket cost - R 425-00 b) Accommodation/Dinner/Breakfast/shuttle - R 978-00 c) Costs of fuel as per AA Rates 224kms x 2 @ R3-92/km Vehicle 1.4 Ford - R1 756-16 TOTAL CLAIM AMOUNT R3 159-16

5. Your failure to settle this claim with 14 (fourteen) days from date hereof will result in me pursuing the necessary legal action for the recovery of the losses incurred by myself due to your negligence.

There was no terms and conditions attached to this ticket, nor was anything explained to me. I have not had any response or communication from them. I called yesterday, holding on for more than an hour where there was NO answer.
