Late departure, bus changing and running out of petrol on the highway

<p>On the night of the 5th of August, a dear friend of mine was about to board one of the Eldo Coaches from Johannesburg to Cape Town. The bus was supposed to depart at 11.30am, but left at 13.00. During this time, my friend and fellow passengers were asked to board a bus, then were told to board a different bus, only to be told to board the first bus once more. That is ridiculous in itself . . . </p> <p> </p> <p>After leaving Colesberg, the bus PASSED AN ENGEN GARAGE, and then proceeded to slow down to a stop on the N1 highway. Nothing was explained to the passengers. Apparently, they had run out of petrol. My friend has just informed me that they are sending a maintenance crew from either Colesberg or Bloemfontein, as there is a mechanical issue with the bus.</p> <p> </p> <p>It's 2017. Can we not have smooth running public transport or must EVERYTHING be a struggle?</p>
