How the mighty have fallen.
It has taken me three days to write because I wanted to be as objective as possible.
On Dec 24 I booked a bus for 18:30 to Johannesburg, it arrived 2 and a half hours late. We were told the bus had been taken to the depot to be cleaned however when entering set bus it was dirty. The toilet was clogged and the **** that couldn't be flushed was spilling onto the floor, thank heaven no one ****ed because that would've been a disaster.
The bus drivers were extremely rude, they made us wait and whenever any questions were raised they evoked the "I'm the elder" card as to not be questioned. At one point when a customer was growing frustrated with the speed the bus driver answered "you should've booked a flight".
We had an incident where what seemed to be a first time traveler had bought their little dog with them wrapped in a blanket, upon discovering this the bus driver threw a fit and told the man that he either leaves the dog on the road or he gets off with the dog with immediate effect. This man was left on the side of the road with no aid, let alone a garage. On that same trip two stops later a lady who was listening to earphones and sleeping missed her stop she woke up and created a scene. Now it's not the bus drivers fault she misses the stop because he has asked numerous times for her but she didn't hear him, so we had to turn the bus around and go drop her off at her stop which wasted more of our time. Now what angers me most is that a man with a puppy couldn't be dropped at a petrol station but a grown woman who was at fault for missing her stop got to have the bus turned around for her, I don't believe this this is fair.
Because the bus was late we were limited to only two **** and food stops which is out of the ordinary, I don't get why we're now being punished for the bus being late.
We did however arrive safely and at the end of the day that's what's most important but wow this once great bus is now a sorry excuse for transportation but it's name holds well so for now at least they'll stay in business.
