Horrible service, never again!!!!

It is such a pity that I had to put 1 star to rate this joke of a bus. #WIN If it were up to me, I would not put a star at all. That is how much of a horrible experience we had with Eldo Coaches.

I booked a bus for Sunday, 15 Aug 2021 from Durban Beach Front and the ETA on the ticket to Pretoria said it's Monday,16 Aug 2021 04h45.

The bus first broke down a few hours away from Durban. We, as passengers, waited for 2 hours for the mechanic to come and see what the problem is and to see if it's fixable or not. When the mechanic finally arrived, he "fixed it" and we left and he was driving behind us in case we break down again or not.

An hour or so later, the bus started making noise and needed the driver to stop driving it. The poor driver checked for himself what the problem was and tried to fix it. Even other passengers helped him look for the problem to try and fix it. I'm not exactly sure what needed water for the bus to operate. They poured the water and again, an hour or 30 min later, the bus stopped again because of that noise it was making.

Passengers were calling the Eldo call centre to complain and nobody was successful to get clear answers. I remember one other gentleman who called the call centre to complain and the agent spoke to him for a few seconds and then the agent had the audacity to hang up on him. The agent hung up on a customer while he was still talking! Disgusting service.

The driver called the office to request for another bus and they never came with another bus. The poor driver was left with disgruntled customers who were looking for answers and he, also, had none. All we received from Eldo was an unsympathetic "We are sorry for the inconvenience" sms at around 1 or 2am. That is all the "trouble" they went to for paying customers.

And the cherry on top is, the bus arrived at 09h45am in Pretoria, instead of the 04h45am that was on the ticket.

The poor driver had to drive slow all the way from KZN to GP because the bus was making a noise when you switch on the engine. And I was late for work. I arrived at 11h10. 3 and a half hours late!

What a nightmare of a bus. Eldo has no customer service whatsoever! Never will you see me using it ever again.
