ELDO COACHES NIGHTMARE

I travelled with my family on 8 Dec from Cape Town to Vryburg with Eldo Coaches. At the Katu pick-up point the drivers deliberately left myself, daughter and 2 year old granddaughter behind despite me making the driver aware that I am going to call my daughter who had to use the garage toilet as the toilet on the coach was unhygienic and reaked of urine. Not only did they leave us behind , they left with my daughter's nine months old baby and eight year old son who was with their young uncle at the time. When my son approached the driver with the hysterically crying baby to turn around, he was told that it is not his problem and that my son should deal with it. My daughter in desperation went scrambling around from car to car for help. After 10 minutes a good samaritan offered his help. We could not believe that we could not catch up with the coach since it was 10 minutes that had passed and we are travelling in a car at at least 180 kms. Our nightmare continued when we finally caught up with the coach in Kuruman at Die Oog. Here my daughter and son were assaulted by the Eldo Coach driver as well as the G4S securities. After 2 days of submitting our reports ,we are yet to receive a response from Eldo Coaches.

The reviews on Eldo Coaches website confirms that their drivers are problematic despite Eldo Coaches claiming that their drivers go for extensive training.That their toilets are unhygienic.

This is a company that offers transportation services to tourists. If us locals are treated this way I can only imagine the service which the tourists experience.

Every vehicle undergoes complete pre and post-trip safety inspection checks. All our vehicles are fitted with the latest advanced technology systems that allow us to communicate with and track all our vehicles, monitoring both our fleet, and driver performance.at Eldo Coaches goes beyond the call of duty, we strive to guarantee safety for our most precious cargo, our passengers.Although all our drivers have the minimum legal requirements to operate our vehicles (Correct code of licence and a valid Professional Driving Permit) they have many years of driving experience and they continue to undergo extensive training and performance evaluation at regular intervals. All our vehicles have the necessary safety and operating permits required under South African Law. Our fleet is kept in spotless condition, and we carry out services well within the manufacturer’s recommendations. Every vehicle undergoes complete pre and post-trip safety inspection checks. All our vehicles are fitted with the latest advanced technology systems that allow us to communicate with and track all our vehicles, monitoring both our fleet, and driver performance.

I would rather pay more and travel with Intercape who has professional and helpful drivers.

Perhaps the owners should travel with their families on their coaches incognito to experience what their passengers / clients go through.
