Eldo Coaches - BAD BAD BAD!!!

On Saturday we travelled from PE to JHB and when we were in Graaff-Reinet the driver told us he had lost the trailer with our luggage in it. We begged him to go back and look or call the police but he refused. Now today they sent us smses to go collect our clothes at Park Station they have "found" them. We get there our clothes are packed in black bags, lots of valuables missing. I lost 4 of my sneakers, brand new weave, make up and a brand new cellphone that i was gonna gift my niece. I'm so hurt and they telling us there is nothing they ca do, i have so many questions like how do you lose a trailer without noticing, the driver would have felt it disconnecting. My only logic i can come up with is he disconnected the trailer on the bus when he stopped in Jansenville and only told us when he stopped in Graaff-Reinet. Can i sue the company? Is there a way that they can compensate us?
