Treat clients like *********

In July of this year the Veterinarian treated my basset for epilepsy. We decided that the daily medicine is not yet needed and that they will prescribe Valium for her. The Dr. prescribed two vials of Valium for my pet which is to be given when an epileptic fit occurs. Since July this year, this only happened twice.

During the consultation in July the veterinarian on duty explained that because she had seen my pet, all I have to do is come to the clinic and buy more vials - which I tried to do this Friday.

Unfortunately the same Dr. was not on duty as the one who saw my pet the first time, and I believe because of this, the clinic treated me with distrust. They immediately came up with excuses such as "sorry we don't have enough stock" and "the South African law insists that you should bring in the animal every six months" when it has only been 4 months.

What they don't know is that I actually have 5 dogs and that I decided I wanted to give them a chance and take my pet to them (in July) - so it might have seemed to them as if I just showed up and started buying scheduled medicine from them. However; I feel that they did not need to recite South African Medicine Laws to me, neither did they need to come up with all kinds of excuses only to sell a single vial to me hoping they'll get rid of me -- I vial which I paid for but never took from them!

That being said - they might feel that they acted in their best interest and my anger towards them might have even let them feel justified in their distrust for this customer.

My experience in this matter was a feeling of distrust (despite the fact that I had acted upon the instructions of the presiding Veterinarian Surgeon in at the last consultation) where none was deserved.

I would therefore warn anyone engaging with this clinic that you might be treated like a ******** when all you are is an honest caring pet owner, and because of them (should my pet have another epileptic fit, I do not have the correct medicine at hand) at the moment
