Surolan causes complete deafness in dogs

<p>I took my dog to Tygerberg Animal Hospital for her yearly injections. She gets a light waxy buildup in her ears and I asked the vet about it as well. He recommended an ear drop for dogs called Surolan made by Elanco. He also app**** the first dose in his office. After 3 days of use I noticed that she wasn't responding to sound. I googled the the medicine and found numerous complaints about exactly the same symptoms that other people experienced with this drug. I took her back to the vet that has perscribed anti biotics and cortizone. Nothing has changed, she is now completely deaf. This has taught me to google all meds before using them, regardless of who recommends it</p>
