Ekurhuleni City College is a great school — the teachers are amazing and the receptionist has always been kind, but my brother was treated unfairly when he tried to cancel his November classes. He first asked to cancel in August 2025 and was told to settle his fees first, then send a letter once everything was paid. In October, after paying in full and fetching his exam timetable, the receptionist told him he still had time to cancel before November. He followed her advice and sent his letter on 30 October. When it was seen on 3 November, they said it was too late, then later changed the reason, saying he couldn’t cancel because he had his timetable. The WhatsApp chats were set to disappearing, but he had screenshots. When she called him, she was rude, shouting, and never gave him a fair chance to talk. Now they want R900 for November or he won’t get his matric results. It’s really unfair, hurtful, and disappointing.
