Refusal to accommodate our pet on Egypt air

Incompetence in it's highest form.

After jumping through all the loops to get the required paperwork and documents in order from the South African state vet, the Saudi health certificate, the Saudi import authority and after purchasing a pet in cabin ticket for our cat the staff in Johannesburg refused the animal inside the approved container on board.

All of this after my wife flew with the pet on another airline to Johannesburg, which meant they were stranded and we had to frantically call around and eventually get an Uber to take the pet to family in Pretoria.

Egypt air sold me a ticket after submitting all the documentation via email, and then refused entry into the plane literally an hour before an international flight. This is incompetence at it's best
