Egypt Air Refuses to Refund

I purchased airline tickets in October 2019 to travel to Egypt and Dubai during March 2020. Due to the unforseen pandemic travel ban was in place and South Africa went into lock down. My travel agent app**** for the tickets to be refunded. He followed procedure and received the RA numbers for the tickets. When we followed up with Egypt Air in January 2021 they requested all the RA numbers be sent to them and that the CFO will only return mid January and the process will begin. On the 18th February I received a mail stating to call Egypt Air. The service personal said that I could not be refunded because I purchased the tickets through a company that has closed down. But the tickets were directly paid from my Credit Card. They said maybe a company which is closed down will request another refund.
